Playermaker, a start-up company, approached us with an exciting challenge: to design a captivating package for their wearable tracker for soccer players. The design had to adhere to size and cost limitations set by a pre existing package, with one mission in mind: to take the user experience to the next level in a fresh and fun way.
Determined to make an extraordinary impression on the end user, we decided to add engagement and playfulness to the unboxing experience.
The innovative opening mechanism, guided by specific thumb placement and tab pulling, creates a surprising moment, thus unveiling inner compartments hiding a carrying bag and USB cable.
This dynamic effect was achieved through testing various solutions of strategic folding of the silicone straps for optimal tension and sizing required to create the best experience
The result is a special, playful package that complements the uniqueness of the wearable tracker, meeting both aesthetic and financial considerations.
